Log Burner Servicing
Log Burner Servicing in Montgomery
The burner stripped down, every component cleaned, and rebuilt properly if it's been put back together wrong.
A lot of log burners get put back together wrong after a previous clean or service, which affects how they draw and burn. I take the whole thing apart, clean each component properly, and rebuild it the way it should be.
It's not unusual to find a burner that's been misassembled for years without the owner knowing. Sorting that out, alongside the sweep and smoke test, means the fire actually works as it's meant to rather than just looking clean.
What's included
- Burner taken apart piece by piece
- Internal components cleaned
- Rebuilt correctly if previously wrong
- Check for wear or damage
- Reassembled ready to use

Outstanding service. Arrived on the dot. Very systematic in sweeping chimney. Made a complete seal with sheet plastic so no dust got into the room. Has great kit..rods attached to a drill so it’s a thorough sweep. Pulled the inside of log burner apart and cleaned component pieces. Reassembled in the correct way..mine was incorrect. Smoke tested at the end which identified a problem. Came back in to put camera kit up to chimney pot to identify the problem, showed me photos and resolved it. Very knowledgable and interesting man. Even polished log burner with some magic fluid that makes it look like new. It’s unrecognisable now..a major transformation and I can really tell it’s working efficiently now it’s been lit. Totally worth every penny. Left the place cleaner than when he arrived! Don’t trust anyone else with such an important job.
Kevin sweeps chimneys for several people in our village and also at my home. When I purchased a new property there was a problem identifying whether the wood burner was safe and chimney swept, despite him being out of the area, he was on hand to give advice and suggested who to go to. Long overdue review but I can thoroughly recommend Kevin, and will keep using his services, he's very professional and I trust his advice!!
Kevin did a fantastic job cleaning my log burner. I came in to find my fire looking cleaner than I left it and not a trace that he had been to clean. 100% recommend Kevin. Does an excellent job. Very trustworthy. Thank you Kevin.
