Chimney Sweeping
Chimney Sweeping in Montgomery
Rods and a drill attachment for a full sweep, with the room sealed off in sheet plastic first so no dust gets out.
I seal the fireplace with sheet plastic before I start, so dust stays out of your room rather than settling over your furniture. Then it's rods with a drill attachment up the flue for a proper, systematic sweep rather than a few strokes with a brush.
Once the flue's clear I run a smoke test to check it's drawing correctly. If anything looks off I'll say so there and then, and if it needs a closer look I've got camera kit to show you exactly what's going on.
What's included
- Full plastic sheet seal round the fireplace
- Rod-and-drill sweep, not a quick brush
- Soot and debris cleared from the flue
- Smoke test after every sweep
- Hearth and surround left clean

Outstanding service. Arrived on the dot. Very systematic in sweeping chimney. Made a complete seal with sheet plastic so no dust got into the room. Has great kit..rods attached to a drill so it’s a thorough sweep. Pulled the inside of log burner apart and cleaned component pieces. Reassembled in the correct way..mine was incorrect. Smoke tested at the end which identified a problem. Came back in to put camera kit up to chimney pot to identify the problem, showed me photos and resolved it. Very knowledgable and interesting man. Even polished log burner with some magic fluid that makes it look like new. It’s unrecognisable now..a major transformation and I can really tell it’s working efficiently now it’s been lit. Totally worth every penny. Left the place cleaner than when he arrived! Don’t trust anyone else with such an important job.
Kevin sweeps chimneys for several people in our village and also at my home. When I purchased a new property there was a problem identifying whether the wood burner was safe and chimney swept, despite him being out of the area, he was on hand to give advice and suggested who to go to. Long overdue review but I can thoroughly recommend Kevin, and will keep using his services, he's very professional and I trust his advice!!
Kevin did a fantastic job cleaning my log burner. I came in to find my fire looking cleaner than I left it and not a trace that he had been to clean. 100% recommend Kevin. Does an excellent job. Very trustworthy. Thank you Kevin.
