New Home Chimney Checks
New Home Chimney Checks in Cleveland Heights
Checking a fireplace or wood stove in a property you've just moved into before you rely on it for the first time.
Moving into a place with a fireplace or wood stove you've never used means you're relying on someone else's maintenance history - or lack of one. I sweep and inspect it properly so you're not finding out it needs work the first time you light it.
This is the same thorough process as a routine sweep and inspection combined, just aimed at getting you a clear picture from a standing start.
What's included
- Full sweep of the flue
- Structure and liner checked
- Damper tested
- Signs of prior neglect flagged
- Safety check before first use
- Clear summary of condition

Blake and his team are total professionals and extremely skilled and thorough with their work. They were always on time and got right to work. So glad I trusted my gut and went with them!
Blake with Sauers Chimney is truly a professional. Great communication, easy to work around my schedule to get appointment confirmed, arrived exactly on time, and was very neat and efficient while cleaning and checking the fireplaces in new-to-me condo. Now I have full confidence I can safely use them.
Blake did an excellent job on our chimney. He is very knowledgeable about the process and provided us with recommendations on maintenance. This is the 2nd time we've used him. Highly recommend!
