A Community Gathering Spot
A Community Gathering Spot in Wilson
A public pool where Wilson families and friends meet up, swim, and spend the afternoon together.
Reid Street Pool is a public pool, so it works as much as a place to meet people as a place to swim. Families run into neighbors, kids meet up with friends from school, and the pool ends up being one of the places in Wilson where that happens naturally over the summer.
I hear from people who ask if the pool is open to the public before they've ever been, which tells me it's not always obvious from the outside. It is: anyone in Wilson and the surrounding towns is welcome during our open season.
What's included
- Open to the whole Wilson community
- A shared space for families and friends
- Room for swimmers of every age
- Clean, welcoming pool and deck
- A regular summer spot, season after season
