Digging, cutting and grading a lot level or to slope, so it's ready for a foundation, drainage or new landscaping.
We bring in the right size equipment for the lot - sometimes that's a full-size excavator, sometimes a smaller machine that can get through a gate or between houses. Before any digging starts we walk the property, check where water needs to go, and mark out what's being cut and what's being filled.
Grading work usually feeds into something else - a slab, a driveway, a new drainage line - so we work off whatever plan or grade stakes are already set, or help figure out the right slope if there aren't any. Dirt that needs to come off site gets loaded and hauled the same visit.
